5 Ways to be Stronger Together

Managing people across different countries and time zones can be a huge challenge, but knowing how to build a strong team that can work together seamlessly can make it a smoother ride. Since he joined us in early 2019, APAC’s Head of Operations, Eddie Lee, has been responsible for teams as far ranging as Japan and Australia from his hub in our Singapore office. With APAC’s employee satisfaction score one of the highest at Revolut globally, Eddie is clearly doing something right. So we asked him to give us his top tips on building a team that’s Stronger Together.

Put your people first

Our Revoluters are the foundation of everything that we do. Though times may be more difficult right now, if you’re not putting your people’s wellness and productivity front and centre, it’s impossible to be stronger together.

Connect on a personal level

People work harder for colleagues and teams they care about. Even when we might not be there in person to build those connections over everyday little things, creating deeper connections over time will increase retention, satisfaction, and communication.

Learn together

Nobody has all the answers all of the time. It’s important to cultivate intellectual humility in order to create an environment where the best ideas can win. Eddie focuses on hiring people who can level up the team; independently solving problems in an innovative way.
