Top up via bank transfer and spend with your Revolut card abroad to get 5% cashback from us!
Campaign period 📆
1 December 2022 to 9 January 2023 (Japan Time)
How much do I get? 💰
You’ll earn 5% cashback on the total amount spent outside of Japan, as long as you topped up via local bank transfer during the campaign period.
*Maximum cashback amount will be capped at the lower of ¥2,000 per customer OR 5% of the amount topped up via domestic bank transfer. Amount topped up via card, amount spent within Japan or online will not qualify for cashback.
Also we’ll be doing a raffle, allowing one lucky user to have 5% cash cashback on an amount spent outside of Japan, up to 50,000 JPY!
When do I get cashback? 📲
The actual cashback will be paid out in mid-February into your Revolut account.
How does cashback calculation work? 🔢
Cashback amount is calculated based on the total amount you spent outside of Japan and money added by domestic bank transfer during the campaign period.
There is no need to exhaust the amount already in your Revolut account even if it was added by credit or prepaid card prior to the campaign in order to receive cashback.
For example, if you top up ¥40,000 by bank transfer, and spend all ¥40,000 via card payments abroad, you'll receive ¥2,000 (5% of ¥40,000). However, if you only spend ¥30,000 of the ¥40,000 bank transfer, the maximum cashback you’ll receive is ¥1,500 (5% of ¥30,000).
To take full advantage of this campaign, top up at least ¥40,000 by domestic bank transfer and spend all ¥40,000 via card payments abroad to receive ¥2,000 in cashback!
Will non-JPY payments count towards cashback?
Yes. Your non-JPY payments will be converted to JPY equivalent amount using the FX rate on transaction day. That amount will be used to calculate the cashback, credited in JPY in one lump sum.
What’s the maximum top up amount I can make in one transaction?
Maximum top up amount you can make is ¥1,000,000 per top up.
