Being stuck at the airport for an hour when you go for your trip is no fun. Introducing SmartDelay — a feature which gives you free lounge access if your flight is delayed by more than an hour. Right now, SmartDelay is available for Revolut Premium and Revolut Metal customers.

What exactly is SmartDelay? 🛬

It’s super simple. If your flight is delayed by more than one hour, we’ll give you free airport lounge access, as long as you have pre-registered your flight details at least two hours in advance of the flight departure time. Right now, SmartDelay is available for Revolut Premium and Revolut Metal customers — another great reason to upgrade!

One of the most exciting benefits of SmartDelay is that we’ll give a free lounge pass not only to you, but to your travel companions too! The number of free lounge passes for your travel companions will depend on your subscription plan.

If you’re a Premium customer, we’ll give a lounge pass to one of your travel companions. If you’re a Metal customer, we’ll give lounge access to up to three fellow travellers. They don’t even need to be Revolut customers!

How SmartDelay works ⏳

Like all things Revolut, we’ve made it as easy as possible to use SmartDelay. You just need to add your flight information to your Revolut app, at least two hours in advance of the flight departure time. If you have travel companions, please add their details as well.

1. Tap [here](revolut://app/dashboard ) >  Choose ‘SmartDelay’ from your hub
2. Select ‘Register a flight’
3. Enter the departure date, departing airport, destination, and the flight number
   (Please create separate entries for each flight)
4. Add your travel companions from the ‘Companions’ page. Make sure to include the same name that’s written on their boarding pass
5. Tap ‘Register flight’
6. If your flight is delayed by more than one hour, we’ll automatically send you the free lounge access. Remember, you must have registered your flight details at least two hours in advance of your flight departure time.
7. Simply show your QR code, boarding pass, and ID at the lounge entrance
