Become a RevP beta tester and help improve card payments 👌

Every time you use a Revolut card, your payments are processed by a payments processor, which connects Revolut to the Visa and Mastercard networks. That goes for contactless, chip and pin, and ecommerce payments, and while the process may look seamless, there's a lot of technology behind the scenes.

Right now at Revolut, we're building a brand new payments processor, which we call RevP. Developing RevP is by no means an easy task, and requires the set-up of both physical and cloud connections between various systems. Not to mention navigating the complex world of data security standards, to make sure that your card data is safe at all times.

So why build RevP in the first place? 🤓

We’re all about giving you the best, safest, most seamless experience possible, whether you’re using the app to check your spending, or paying for your groceries. For that, we need robust, flexible systems perfectly suited to our, and your, needs.

Plus, Revolut is expanding, and it makes sense for us to have our own payment processor, which we can adapt to meet changing needs as we invite customers to onboard in the U.S., Latin America, and elsewhere.

Having our own payments processor (RevP) will allow us to release better products faster, which is great news for you, and everyone else using Revolut. Technologies like ApplePay, Google Pay, 3D Secure, and others will be supported by our systems, which means increased security and reliability for your card transactions.

How you can help 🙌

Here’s where you come in. We’ve already done extensive testing of the RevP platform, and have found that everything works exactly as it should in 99.9% of cases. But that’s not good enough for us, or for you. We don’t want you, or anyone else using Revolut, to be caught out in one of those failed or problematic 0.1% cases.

That’s why we’re offering 1,000 people the chance to test out RevP with a free Revolut card. You’ll be invited to use the card in all sorts of different ways, and to report back your findings, so that we can make this essential technology even better. You’d really be helping us out, and you’d be doing a great service to your fellow Revolut users. Plus, you’ll be one of the first to try out our new 3D Secure feature!
