🎯 Revolut Business now supports GBP Direct Debit
Direct debits. You’ve been asking for them, and they’re finally here! You can now easily stay on top of regular payments for everything from your recurring bills, paying your vendors, or filling the office fruit bowl. 🍏
This week, we’re pleased to announce that you can now use your local UK GBP account details, to pay your GBP Direct Debits. Just to clarify, at the moment this feature is only available to customers with local GBP account details (i.e. account number and sort code).
🔎 More convenient, more trackable
Setting up a Direct Debit using your Revolut account details is a great idea for a couple of reasons. The first is convenience. Instead of having to keep track of two accounts (us and your bank), you’ll be able to manage your regular payments from the one account you know and love (hint: that’s us).
The second benefit of setting up a Direct Debit with Revolut is the ability for it to seamlessly feed into your Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent account, through Revolut Connect.
📣 How to set up a Direct Debit
You can set up a Direct Debit with the service you wish to pay, using your Revolut account details. Let’s take paying your electric bill as an example.
To start, you’ll need to find your account details. You’ll find these in the business account by going to Accounts > British Pound > Account Details > Local
- Here you’ll find your account details in the form of a sort code (04-00-75) and account number (01020304)
- Use these account details when setting up a Direct Debit with your electric company (or other service)
- Once it’s set up, you’ll see your Direct Debit in your business account under Payments > Scheduled payments
We’re all about freedom, simplicity, and breaking down financial barriers. Direct Debit is one more exciting milestone on that long road. We hope that you find this new feature useful.
