A step-by-step guide to sending money abroad with Revolut 💸

How much does it cost to send money abroad with Revolut?

Revolut is better with friends, so no matter where you are and what time of day it is, sending money to other Revolut users is instant and free.

For all other transfers to international bank accounts, we may charge a small fee depending on the recipient’s location and the currency you’re sending.

For example, on a Revolut Standard account we’ll charge you a small percentage fee of 0.3% for IMTs made in the local currency, like when you send GBP to United Kingdom from Australia. This fee is pegged to a minimum of A$0.50 and a maximum of A$45.

For transfers not in the local currency, like when you send USD to the UK from Australia, we’ll charge a flat fee of A$4 when sending USD, GBP, EUR and CHF, or A$8 for other currencies. This fee also applies if you're sending a foreign currency to a bank account in Australia.

How long will it take for my transfer to arrive?

Revolut’s money transfers are fast. Most of our transfers arrive within the day. Depending on the route, it can sometimes take up to 3 to 5 days, but we’ll keep you updated on the status of your transfer either way.

How do I send money with Revolut?

After you’ve signed up for Revolut, simply add money into your Revolut account by topping up with a bank card or transferring from another bank account.

To send money abroad:
