Most people agree that sending money abroad is expensive. That’s why we’re going to break down various international money transfer services so you can get the best bang for your buck.

First up is Western Union, one of the most well-known remittance service providers. How do they compare to Revolut in terms of pricing when sending money abroad?

Revolut vs Western Union: Transfer Fees

With Revolut, Premium customers can send 1 international transfer per month, fee-free, while Metal customers can send an unlimited number of international transfers a month, fee-free. Standard customers will have to pay a 0.3% fee for each transfer, pegged to a minimum of S$0.30 and capped at a maximum of S$9.

Western Union doesn’t charge transfer fees if you pay online by bank account and the recipient receives the money by bank account
