2020 has been a year like any other, with plenty of ups and downs. But if we’ve learnt one thing, it’s how we all need to come together and support each other. So, in the spirit of the holidays and giving back, we’re launching a referral promotion for our friends in the UK and the US!

From December 21, 2020 to January 18, 2021, invite your friends to join Revolut, and you can earn some extra cash -- £5 for friends in the UK and $5 for our friends in the US. You’ll get paid for friends that sign up, order a physical card and make 3 card transactions, within 30 days. Note: To be eligible to earn money, you’ll need to have received an email inviting you to this promotion.

How do I invite friends?

  1. Open your Revolut App
  2. Tap on your profile picture to go to your dashboard
  3. Tap Invite friends
  4. Tap the Invite friends tile
  5. Select your friends from your contact list

Anyone you refer must be eligible for a  Revolut account and must not already be a Revolut customer.

What do my friends need to do?

  1. Sign up to a Revolut account using your unique referral link
  2. Add money by connecting their bank or debit card
  3. Order a physical Revolut card
  4. Complete 3 purchase transactions with their new Revolut card (can be through a virtual card while they wait for their physical one)

All within 30 days of signing up

What’s in it for me?

  • For UK users: You’ll be credited £5 to your Revolut account for each referral that meets the criteria above.
  • For US users: You’ll be credited $5 to your Revolut account for each referral that meets the criteria above.

What other legal information should I know?

  • If you think you’re owed a reward that has not yet been granted, please reach out to our customer support via our in-app chat
  • We may, at our sole discretion, suspend, terminate or change the terms and requirements of the Referral Program
  • These terms are published in English and any translation is a courtesy translation only - participants of the Referral Program cannot derive any rights from the translated version. The English language version of these terms shall apply and prevail and be conclusive and binding. The English version shall be used in legal proceedings
  • It is a one sided campaign where only the referrer will be awarded the reward
  • In order for the referrer to be awarded the reward, the referee will need to:
  • Sign up to Revolut
  • Verify their ID
  • Order a physical card
  • Make 3 transactions (transactions can be in a pending state and not completed)
  • Referee will have 30 days to complete the above  process
  • Top up should be via card or bank transfer; p2p is not included
  • Users can refer up to 100 people per.
  • A referee must be:
  • a brand new Revolut customers (they must not have created a Revolut account before); and
  • eligible for a Revolut account.

For UK users

  • To the extent permitted by law, these Referral Program Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the competent court in England.

For US user

  • To the extent permitted by law, these Referral Program Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. Participants submit to exclusive personal jurisdiction, and agree that any dispute shall be brought, in the state and federal courts in New York County, New York.
  • This program is administered and organized by Revolut Technologies Inc., a company incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware with a primary mailing address of P.O. Box 1155, New York, NY 10013.

Am I eligible?

For UK users: You received an email invitation and in-app push notification from us in case you are eligible. Only selected users are taking part in this campaign. If you did not receive the invitation this time don’t worry - there's a lot more coming soon so stay tuned!

For US users: Yes, you received an email invitation and in-app push notification from us informing about the campaign. You can already start inviting your friends!

How do I invite friends?

  1. Tap on the referral tile on the in-app home screen
  2. Tap Invite friends
  3. Tap the Invite friends tile
  4. Select your friends from your contact list

You can refer up to 100 friends, but they must be eligible for a Revolut account and not already a Revolut customer.

Who can be invited?

You can invite up to 100 friends! Please make sure that your friend has never used Revolut before and lives in a country where Revolut is available.

When will I receive my reward?

You will receive your reward when the person you referred

  • signs-up using a promo campaign link,
  • verifies their identity,
  • adds money by connecting their bank or debit card (tap on ‘add money on the home screen, note: internal transfers do not count),
  • orders a physical Revolut card,
  • makes 3 card payments (can be using a virtual card while they wait for their physical one).
    These card payments do not have to be completed (can be in pending state). All of these steps have to be completed within your time frame of the campaign so do not wait till the very last moment. Invite friends right from the start to give them more time to complete required actions! You can invite even up to 100 people!

I have not received my Reward. Why?
Make sure a person you invited, completed all of the required steps such as:

  • signing-up using a promo campaign link,
  • verifying their identity,
  • adding money by connecting their bank or debit card (tap on ‘add money on the home screen, note: internal transfers do not count),
  • ordering a physical Revolut card and making 3 card payments (can be using a virtual card while they wait for their physical one).
    These card payments do not have to be completed (can be in pending state). If yes, a reward should already be assigned to your Revolut account.

How long does the campaign last for?

A friend you invited has to complete all steps within 30 days of the campaign being assigned to you in order for you to receive a reward (e.g. if you invited them on the 10th day of your campaign they’d have 20 days to complete it).
