In these ongoing uncertain times, some look to precious metals as a store of value. With Revolut, you can now invest smarter with gold, silver and precious metals. Just remember, the value of your investments can go down as well as up.

We’ve created some awesome features that make it easy for you to manage your commodities on-the-go. You can send gold and silver to friends on Revolut (P2P) and it arrives instantly, just like any other kind of currency. You can also exchange your silver for gold, cryptocurrency, or e-money. It’s totally your call.

We keep you in the loop

Set targets and get notified when the market price hits them, so that you can automatically exchange at the price you want. It’s easy: just head over to the ‘Commodities’ tab in Wealth. You’ll see prices based on real-time market performance data, which we get directly from our trusted precious metals provider.

Stash your cash

You can even receive cashback and spare change round-ups in gold or silver, which are automatically credited to your Commodities account. Ker-ching!

Backed by physical precious metals

Just to be clear - we’re not physically sending you any precious metals in the post when you buy gold and silver in the app. Instead, your investment is backed by physical precious metals which are held securely in a bank vault in London.

Please check our updated Precious Metals FAQ to understand the limits of your investment. You cannot pay in precious metals using your Revolut Card. This means that if you make a payment using your Revolut card, and the only funds you have are in precious metals, the payment will fail.
