Request in-person payments easily with QR codes

We recently announced that we’ve simplified online payments through the introduction of Payment Links to Revolut Business. Now, we’ve gone one step further to help make managing your business even easier. It’s now easy to accept payments straight away with QR codes. Not familiar with them? A QR code is a square-shaped bar code that prompts your customer to an action when they scan it with their phone’s camera. In your case, it’ll take them to instantly settle up their bill. Just remember that QR codes are only available on mobile with Merchant Accounts.

Start straight away, no additional hardware

You heard that right. With QR codes, you don’t need to invest in or set up another bulky piece of kit to cart around or clutter your payment station. All you need is your smartphone and Revolut Business app, and you can start generating payment QR codes straight away. Whether you’re a plumber, market-seller, or local eatery owner, it’s easy to make QR codes your go-to option for taking payment.

Take payments touch-free for safety and ease

In the world of social distancing, every in-person interaction should put our health and safety first. With QR codes, nothing has to touch - you can simply show the code and your customer can scan it while still maintaining a reasonable space between you. No more cash, or entering a pin into a card terminal. With real time notifications, you’re also able ensure that payments are successful while still with the customer.

Get paid face-to-face effortlessly

You’ll no longer need to ask customers for email addresses or phone numbers to take a payment. Once you’ve generated the code, you just need to show your customer and ask them to scan it with their smartphone camera. It’ll take them to a prompt where they’ll be able to pay with Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, or Revolut.

2. Choose the currency, the amount and a description
