Revolut x Movember — Your spare change could save a bro 👨

If handing your mate a few quid and telling him to go check himself feels a little awkward, then you’re not alone. Male cancers, mental health, and suicide, are still difficult things to talk about for many men and their families.

Since 2003, the Movember movement has been shifting the conversation around these topics in a more positive direction. We’re proud to have partnered with Movember through our Donations feature, making it simple for you to save a bro with your spare change.

With Donations, you can make a recurring donation of any amount, make a one-off donation, or choose to round up your Revolut purchases to the nearest whole number and donate the difference.

You can make a difference 👩👴

Difference is what Movember is all about. You don’t have to move mountains to make a difference to the lives of men and their families around the world. Money raised through Movember helps fund research into, and prevention of male cancers, mental health, and suicide.

But even if you can’t afford to donate right now, simply asking a friend or relative if he’s okay, then listening, can do a world of good. Movember has one goal: To stop men dying too young, and that requires a serious team effort. To date, over 5 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas have joined the fight to beat stigma into submission.

The facts around men’s health 🕵️‍♂️

There’s no way to sugar coat this: men around the world are dying needlessly, for reasons that are largely preventable. What’s most often missing is the willingness and courage for us all to talk about it.

Testicular cancer — It’s the world’s most common cancer in men aged 15-39. It also has a 95% survival rate, so why do men still die from it? By 2030, Movember aims to halve the number of men dying from this disease.

Prostate cancer — Globally, 9.9 million men are living with or beyond prostate cancer. Like any disease, prostate cancer comes as a shock to most men, and while the experience can feel like an uphill battle, together we can lighten the load.

Suicide prevention — On average globally, we lose 60 men to suicide every hour. Why? Because men don’t talk about it. Men tough it out, bottle it up, crush it until it goes away, but for many who suffer with mental illness, it never goes away. Movember aims to change the conversation, to make it okay for men to talk about how they’re feeling.
