Introducing new and improved Analytics 📊

One of our earliest and most popular features, Analytics, has been given an upgrade, making it even easier to keep track of your money. We’ve made three key additions aimed at giving you more control over things like categories and budgeting.

Let’s take a look at what’s new.

View your estimated monthly spending

Say goodbye to the stress of guessing how much money you’ll have left at the end of the month. You’re now able to see how much you’re predicted to spend by month’s end, based on your day-to-day spending and scheduled payments.

The longer you stay with Revolut, the more accurate your estimated spend will be. If you have a budget set up, we’ll also show you whether you’re on track to meet it. If it goes red, that’s an indicator that you’re heading towards exceeding your budget, giving you an opportunity to adjust your spending.

Notice a spike in your spending but can’t remember what it’s from? For Android users (iOS users coming soon), we’ve added indicators to certain spikes, making it quick and easy to see whether it was rent, travel, groceries, or something else.

Choose your analytics start date

Not everyone wants to track their spending from the 1st of the month. With this update, you get to choose when your monthly analytics cycle starts.

For example, if you get paid on the 25th of the month, you can choose to start your monthly tracking from the 25th. If you’re a freelancer who receives payment on the 14th of each month, you can choose to run analytics from 14th - 14th. You get the idea.

Plus, to keep things in sync, when you set your analytics period, we’ll adjust your monthly budget accordingly. Clever little app!

Create custom categories

Want to know how many of your restaurants transactions were at restaurants and how many were takeout? Get granular by creating custom categories and moving related transactions around as you like.

With custom categories, you have more control over your tracking than ever before. To set up a custom category, open a transaction, select the current category, select ‘Add custom’, then customise as you like. We’ll move all past related transactions here, and do the same for future ones.
